Policy Analysis in relation to climate change adaptation, mitigation, agriculture and REDD

This policy analysis in relation to climate change adaptation, mitigation, agriculture and Reduced Emission in Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD) has been conducted within the framework of the project “climate change, agriculture and poverty alleviation: putting small- scale farmers at the heart of policy and practice”. The project is implemented in Kilosa and Chamwino districts by ActionAid in collaboration with the Tanzanian Community Forest Conservation Network (MJUMITA), the Farmer’s Network of Tanzania (MVIWATA), the Tanzania Forest Conservation Group (TFCG) and the Tanzania Organic Agriculture Movement (TOAM).

Mabadiliko ya tabianchi na wakulima wadogowadogo Tanzania.

Wakulima wadogowadogo nchini Tanzania wamekuwa wakiathiriwa na changamoto za mabadiliko ya tabianchi katika shughuli zao za kilimo na kuwapelekea kuzalisha mazao kidogo bila kupata faida. Zipo njia mbalimbali za kilimo ambazo zitawawezesha wakulima kukabiliana na mabadiliko ya tabianchi, na kuwawezesha kuongeza uzalishaji na kujiongezea kipato bila kuongeza gesi joto katika tabaka la hewa la nchi.

Baseline study for the Climate Change, Agriculture and Poverty Alleviation (CCAP) initiative

The Climate Change, Agriculture and Poverty alleviation initiative is a project being implemented through a partnership between five organizations in Tanzania with site-level activities in Kilosa and Chamwino Districts. The objective of the project is for Tanzania to be implementing policies and strategies that prioritise support to small-scale farmers to enable them to improve their livelihoods through the adoption of climate smart agriculture and sustainable land and natural resources management.
